+ The location was relatively close to public transit (7 min walk) and the attractions (30 minutes walk).

− we had rented a 5-person apartment and they gave us one set of keys when we checked in. When we asked for an additional set, they said they would bring it to us tomorrow. They then said we had to pay a 3000 ruble deposit in cash for the room or we wouldn't be allowed to check in, even though the description in the Ostrovok confirmation said we will be charged for the deposit. We didn't have cash with us at the time and asked if we can give it to them tomorrow when they brought the second set of keys over. The owner of the apartment was unreasonable and said if we did not go get the cash deposit immediately, he would not allow us to stay--even though it was okay for him to tell us that he would bring a second set of keys the next day. The unreasonableness of the owner/manager was a real disappointment, especially given that we had paid $2000 USD for 4 days for an apartment that usually runs $200 when it's not during the World Cup. We'll never be back.
