Lubyanka Art-Hotel

− There was a Very bad smell in toilet probably because of poor drainage. It was very hard to go to washroom.

+ Location is perfect , walkable to almost all the attraction

− Water need to be provided every day ,

+ Great location, very supportive staff and I had a clean, warm and nice room with window on the first floor. Will stay again

+ Primary reason for selecting this hotel was that it was very close to the conference venue at Higher School of Economics. The area surrounding the hotel is very nice with Odessa Mama and other nice restaurants and cafes very near by.

− We were placed in the three rooms in the basement (where the breakfast buffet was also located, and where the night concierge was watching TV all night in an adjacent room). The room itself was partly okay, but a hotel room in a basement is simply not a hotel room. There seemed to be a very loud pump for the water in the bathroom that would go on every time you'd used water (and occasionally at other times, as well), which was very disturbing and slightly unsettling. When we arrived, the lady at the registration insisted that there had been passed a new law, which required her to copy *every* single page of our passports (tho, none of our other colleagues experienced this at other hotels), and therefore check-in took approximately 30 mins for three people! The breakfast buffet was not very inspiring. The blini were only warm and freshly made around 7.30. In general, it resembled a Russian version of a continental breakfast, and I went elsewhere to have my breakfast. The springs in the bed were very worn, and therefore it wasn't very comfortable. Finally, the table/desk and the chair (for doing just a minimum of work) didn't fit very well together, and hence, the "workstation ergonomics" was very poor.
