Teta Izmaylovo Hotel

+ Access to the room was smooth and hassle free, and the service was excellent. The internet connection was reliable, and the room featured a fresh, modern design. The window offered a beautiful view, and the air conditioner operated quietly and efficiently. The water tap even included a built in filter, which was a nice touch.

+ The location was pretty good, a short walk to the MCC, Izmaiilovo Station and a bit further to Partizanskaya Metro. Overall the room was clean with a suitable range of utensils. The bathroom was clean, overall a nice room ideally only suited to one person. The fittings are of good quality.

− Overall the facility is really only suited to Russian speakers. On arrival, one needs a gate code, I had no idea how to get it, and the building security does not speak English. Fortunately someone let me in. Parking, although we were told was free, is actually a case of finding somewhere amongst the adjacent blocks of flats. It is not on site. Although it has a building security reception, this is not a hotel reception. The very friendly chap pointed at a QR code - fortunately I had a Russian speaker with me, otherwise I would have been totally stuffed, it is not like booking into a hotel. Once it, only 2 of 4 lifts work, and, at one stage, only 1 of 4 lifts were working. This is useless on a building of 26+ floors. Useless to is the design of parts of the apartment - you cannot use the washing machine without an electrical cable passing straight over the toilet, the shower sprays water over the rest of the bathroom and there are so many other design frustrations. It is a good price and the location isn't bad. If you are a Russian speaker, don't mind waiting for a lift and you are travelling alone, it is a pleasant place. Not for me, though.
