Sunday Mega Hotel Sheikh Zayed Road

− I arrived near 11 midnight and found a big crowd standing in line to check in. I waited for my check-in for around 1 hour among yelling and disappointed crowds and guests, and then the manager said there was no room available for check-in. What?! How did you sell those rooms then? I had to stay in one room for one night with my colleague — her room was awful, with cockroaches and a lot of dirty dust. I checked in the next day only, and my room was clean and big, but they did not provide me with towels, etc. The furniture is very old. So, it’s the worst experience in my life traveling around the world for business and holidays for the last 15 years because If my colleague wasn’t there, I wouldn’t know where I spent the night, and no one refunded me for the one night I had paid for.

− The door to the room balcony was locked.

− The service is terrible Reception never answers Staff comes to your room at night! We extended the room, payed in advance Was out the whole day… then some guy comes in the room at 2 in the morning and asks for city tax

+ Just opposite to Finance metro. From metro next stop to Burj khalifa.

− Hotel is old. Need to renovate. Changing room carpets, curtains and other items would be good.

− The hotel was pretty clean, but rooms were not, could be much better, and the first apt. I stayed at need renovation.

+ Staff was nice.

− If you use VPN, look for another hotel. It doesn't work here. Apartment is old and looks dirty.

+ Beside Financial Metro Stn along SZR Room is really spacious! View in the living room and bed room is amazing.

− I can't remember anything that I didn't like.

− No signboard of the entrance from the main road. There was also cleaning activity on-going at the building windows but the barrier for padestarian and entrance is unguarded, thus people can pass thru easily I decided to cancel my stay after 1 day stay at this hotel instead of 4 nights reserved and paid. This is due to the awful condition of the hotel and specific of the room 506: 1. The hotel is not a 4 star hotel standard as claimed under the website. I would rather consider it as 1 star. The price should also be lower due to the description that I am going to provide below 2. Foul smelling room from the kitchen, toilets and surrounding, filthy and disgusting, especially at night. 3. Dirty bedding with poor and old quality pillows. 4. Cheap low quality towels 5. Neighbours fighting at midnight 6. Drilling from next building until midnight 7. Room fills with small flies and bugs 8. Old and noisy washing machine 9. Smelly cabinet with no clothe hangers 10. The online picture is not accurate and misleading for those are making decision seeking value for money property. Unfortunately, this hotel is not fit for human I decided to check out this 'grand hotel' the next day, despite the full payment made and check in into another hotel.

− Someone from the hotel room service broke into the room and scared me a lot with his key from the hotel

+ The hotel was located on the edge of Sheikh Zayed road, few steps from a financial metro station. It was very convenient location. Ride metro for next station and you can visit famous Dubai Mall and the Burj. Ride metro for one station to other side and you will see Mall of the Emirates. Few Kms away from the Jumeirah beach. My hotel room had the balcony to view the burj. We went to the balcony in the night and took selfie's with a burj e khalifa in the background.

− The hotel room was clean and well maintained. The only issue was the smell in the bathroom and the kitchen was unbearable. They were cleaned but the smell was awful. We stayed there for two nights. We did not use the kitchen and the bathroom because of the awful smell. There was another bathroom which was good. There were not towels placed in the bathroom. Luckily we brought one with us.
