Hotel Casa Canabal by Faranda Boutique

− Casa Canabal has an acceptable location and an appealing exterior, but my stay was a truly awful experience due to unfair fees and lack of support from management. I booked for one person, yet was charged an additional 200,000 COP each night for having a guest, even though the rate on multiple booking platforms showed no difference between one or two guests. After paying twice, I had to argue with staff just to avoid further unjustified charges, leaving me feeling more like a target than a valued guest. On the first night, I was also harassed at 4 a.m. with repeated WhatsApp calls, demanding my guest’s ID hours after she was allowed entry. This could easily have been addressed up front rather than disturbing me in the middle of the night. The room itself was disappointing: it has no real window, only a fixed blind that half-opens, so I couldn’t get fresh air or adjust for privacy. This let in all the street noise and sounds from the hallways, making it nearly impossible to get any rest. Adding to this, I have followed up four times regarding these issues, and the hotel has not responded to my claims. Casa Canabal may look beautiful, but my experience was far from it. I’ll be contacting my booking platform about these unfair practices. Avoid this hotel if you’re looking for transparency, comfort, or reliable customer service.
