− We stay at Grand Hotel Amrath Amsterdam for 3 days but it didn't match the description and we received poor service. We received room nr 131 for which there are already many complaints on social media. Windows were opened when we arrived so we could hear the flags (top of the hotel) bouncing against the pole all day and night long. We asked the receptions and room service to close them but nothing was done. So we didn't slept properly because of noise. There was masking tape still on Windows and doorhandles were missing. The equipment in the room weren't consistent between day 1 and day 2. On the 2nd day, we were missing bathrobes, we had only small towels and no more conditionner. We didn't have enough sugar, only one package and milk weren't replaced. My advice, better to go somewhere else where customer care matters.
+ The location is close to central station. Very good breakfast. Excellent spa with dry and wet sauna, small swimming pool, gym. Swimming against the stream in the pool was really cool experience.
− Hotel lobby and reception does not fit 5 stars hotel. The lobby is very small and dark. Strange. We had a room on the first floor. Air condition is not available, you can only control the fan. Housekeeper brought us additional portable fan, but it did not solve the problem. So, it was pretty hot in the room until we opened the window. However, the disadvantage of open window is noise from the road.
