Legendary Hotel Sovietsky

+ A truly wonderful place! I stayed there for some nights and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The hotel has a unique and atmospheric charm, with comfortable rooms, kind and helpful staff, and a peaceful but convenient location. If I ever go to Moscow again, I'd be more than happy to stay here once more.

+ For those who like Western history, this place symbolizes Russia of a certain period and is worth a special visit.

+ Staying in this hotel is like staying in the history of the Soviet Union. The breakfast in the hotel is very good

− Due to the historical building materials, the sound insulation effect of the hotel is not good, but everything else is good.

+ The hotel itself is legendary and the interior is simply a tourist attraction itself. We took a lot of photos of this wonder of architecture. We like the breakfast a lot. Even though it wasn’t a big range of choice, it was delicious and practical. The most amazing part, there was an artist playing harp during the breakfast and it was such an elegant and pleasant experience. The room service was also nice

− The location is not as convenient and you need to walk a bit to the metro

+ I liked the design and the piano at the morning.

− The white lights are boring and making the hotel such terrible like a horror movie, i wish that they replace them with warm yellow lights.

+ For everybody who loves Soviet history this is a must if you’re staying in Moscow. The location is maybe not super, but taxis are cheap for Western norms and the metro is around the corner. I stayed in the “Junior Suite” this an enormous room and a museum piece on itself!

− The restaurant is quite expensive while the meals are mediocre. The breakfast lady is very grumpy and 2 out of 3 times I experienced very poor service, especially for a 4 star hotel. This is a shame because the restaurant itself is beautiful! Overal I would still stay at this hotel next time I’m in Moscow :)

− The cold breakfast was poor. I wish the furniture in the rooms was more Soviet style and not contemporary.

+ Room was spacious

− We booked twins beds, but was given double bed. When we first entered the room, there was a beverage left by the previous guest in the fridge.

+ Big hotel, room was good bed is comfortable,

− Receptions is not friendly, no respectuffly No kettle here and even reception dont provided kettle for me,

+ Everything. From being that typical Soviet hotel to having a very helpful staff. Kirill, Vladimir and even the cleaning staff were extremely helpful.

− Nothing. Everything was as expected of being a heritage hotel.

+ The room was lovely. It was absolutely clean and comfortable. Everything was set up new everyday. Breakfast was good quality and complete. Staff is profesional and helpful.
