Good Mood Hostel

− The girl at the front desk was super rude. I can’t tell if she’s like that with everyone or if it’s just me because I’m Asian. So, around 10 PM, I rang the doorbell downstairs, and when I got upstairs, this lady was kinda rude, asking if I actually lived there. I mean, I’d already been staying there for two days. Maybe she didn’t recognize me because of the shift changes, which is fair, and I even apologized for disturbing her rest. But later, when I finished washing up and was heading to my room to chill, there was still chatting and laughing in the lobby. And guess what? She didn’t show up to tell them they were disturbing her rest. Plus, after I was done, she just tossed me a rag and told me to clean up the sink and floor myself. Honestly, it felt pretty uncomfortable, and I can’t help but feel like it was some kind of racial discrimination.

+ The hostel was nicely organized. Cool aesthetics , great kitchen and my room was really nice and spacious. Staff were great and the atmosphere was nice.

+ I like the common space, cleaner toilets than other hostel in Moscow. Located in Kitay-Gorod. Near in Eurspar which is the best.

+ I would like to say that the location of this place is extremely attractive for travelers who want to visit Moscow. It's only a 5-minute walk to Red Square, and there are banks and grocery stores nearby, so it's convenient. I am very satisfied with the location. Wi-Fi is also okay. Wi-Fi 6 was good in terms of technology, and the speed was not slow. It was okay not to see any bugs while staying at the hostel. There are mosquitoes occasionally, but I only saw them once, so as someone who hates bugs, this part was largely okay. In the end, it's a pretty reasonable and good option to get this location at this price point.

− From the sanitary condition of the refrigerator to the sanitary condition of the shower booth facilities, it is quite bad. The shower booth stand was rusty, and some booths did not have hot water. Men over 5'10 will definitely find the shower booth narrow, and the bathroom was also quite narrow. Like other reviews, it's quite noisy at night so it's often difficult to sleep. Separately, this accommodation may not be a good choice for people who are sensitive to snoring sounds. Some staff were not friendly or tried to be friendly, and at least there was no direct racism towards Asians. It is quite inconvenient to stay for a long period of time and it is recommended to stay only for 2-3 days maximum. Additionally, there is no elevator in this place, only stairs. It would be better for disabled people who have difficulty going up the stairs to the 3rd floor to find other accommodations. And for some reason, both my iPhone and Android couldn't get a good GPS signal, so I had a hard time locating the property at first. Remember, it's near the building where the grocery store is.

− Too many showers and toilets, only 3 of each for the entire hostel. Included breakfast is very simple yet, only option was corn flakes, milk, jelly and tea. As well there were plenty of mosquitos in the common areas and rooms.

+ Red square is 700 mtr walk away which is very convenient. Metro station is 2 min walk away and you can go anywhere from there even connection to airport is very easy from there. Location is prime for whoever does not want to spend too much on the travel cost. McDonald’s is just on the Main Street and there are few good places to eat also. For budget traveller this is a perfect place. Not many options but free tea and free breakfast is available. 250 rub for laundry

− It is noisy in the night you can hear people talking in the lounge area.

+ The environment is clean, and the neighbourhood is really good, close to metro, bars, restaurants and super market, there is a coffee shop nearby called ‘smart coffee lab’ I really like!

+ It located close to city centre with only 15~20 mins walk to red sqaure. Supermaket, cafe is only 5 mins walk from the hostel. The place is quite good with regular cleaning every afternoon. Clean linen and pillow. The staff is nice and helpful.

+ Cozy room and lively hostel. Very close to the metro station and surrounded by shop,restaurants,24h grocery mart. Everything good for me stayed only 1 night .

− Cannot find the way to access the door code at the first time. Luckily someone got out so I can get in the building.

+ Perfect location. In central, near bus stops. Short walk to the red square and other attractions. Everything is clean and organized. They have a washer and dryer.

− The hostel is located in a run down building and it’s difficult to find the building at first. Staff is helpful but they are aloof and unfriendly.

− The staff have no manners and will never return your messages or calls if there is a problem, such as not being able to find the hotel location.

+ The location is great, very close to Red Square. The bathroom is very clean and beautiful, and the front desk staff is also very helpful and patient.

− The bedding in the room seemed to have not been changed, and the quilt was very thin and it was a bit cold to sleep at night.
