Guest Reviews
+ The location is OK and beds are comfy, that's about it
− I traveled with an American citizen who, by Russian law, must be registered with the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) within 7 days. When we checked in, I asked the administrator to handle the registration, and he assured me everything would be done. After 8 nights, when we had already moved to another hotel, I learned that this hostel never registers foreigners. For whatever reason. I tried contacting them: no replies to emails, vague promises over the phone, then finally someone admitted they “don’t register foreigners.” No explanation, no help. Just silence. For reference, the fine for not being registered is up to 7,000 rubles (about $90), and it can affect your visa and future travel. Why should guests take that risk because the hostel ignores the law? Beyond this, the hostel had constant issues: staff couldn’t calculate our payment correctly, one shower was broken the entire stay, cleaning was poor, internet didn’t work, and they didn’t understand their own booking system (we were told twice to check out days earlier). Bottom line: the hostel itself is average at best, but the lack of legal compliance, professionalism, and basic communication makes it a terrible choice for foreigners. I strongly do not recommend it.
