Metropol Hotel is located in a historical building in the center of the capital. The metro station is 500 meters away. The Metropol is a historic hotel built on the initiative of Savva Mamontov, a philanthropist and patron of the arts, in 1905. The building is a monument of Moscow Art Nouveau. The hotel is proud of its number of rooms: historical suites with authentic Moscow Art Nouveau interiors and new rooms designed in Art Deco style. 84 new rooms in Art Deco style are already presented to hotel guests after the first stage of renovation. The hotel's brand chef is Andrey Shmakov, who also manages the cuisine of the Savva restaurant, located in the hotel and awarded the Michelin star. For hotel guests, there is a round-the-clock room service, concierge service, Chaliapin lobby bar, Savva restaurant, Bely Sad beauty salon. The hotel has 126 rooms in total: 84 new rooms in Art Deco style and 42 historical rooms in classic style.

+ Excellent location, well renovated with a friendly and supportive staff. Very much enjoyed the Shalyapin bar which we frequently visited for cooked ravioli with chicken for my daughter. Cocktails were superb, so was ambience. It was best value for money and a very enjoyable stay.
− The AC was not working properly, which was an issue in hotter days. Team needs to address the AC issue with manufacturer

− Not even good morning from front desk plus the fridge had some hot dog which the room wasn’t clean properly and how it is 5 star and the room is quite old furniture , I booked one night extra although I arrived the next day morning to avoid being rejected for the early check when I asked front desk to have my last day to check out late like maximum at 14:00 i felt like i was bigging they only make it at 13:00 , the only help which I appreciated was the security deposit didnt ask for it since I didnt have robles but honestly not again really disappointed with 5 star rating

+ Can’t beat the location, especially during the Christmas/New Year holiday. Classic Russian hotel with history, flair, and great service…especially the food and drinks. Would stay again in a heartbeat!
