Comfort Inn St. Catharines

− The hotel does not have an elevator, making it difficult to take luggage upto the 1st level. Also, a freezer would have been good. At the time of booking Comfort Inn, St Catharines, ONT., we clearly saw the room rate for June 13th night was CAD 130 but I was charged USD 135 (CAD $190.01). Our experience at the Courtyard Bar & Grill was also very disappointing. On the night of June 13th & 14th morning, our requests for being seated by the window were denied with some lame excuses. The next morning I also mentioned to the server our experience of the previous night, hoping that she would honour our wishes and allow us to sit by the window. She gave us some excuses saying there was a group arriving - but we saw NO group throughout our time there. Then I noticed a family leaving a corner table by the window and requested to have that table. The servier had no choice but to give us a table by the window (the same table that she had mentioned was reserved!!!). So, she could make that available after all!!! Then she sent another servier to assist us. Clients who patronize the restaurant take time off to get away and enjoy after travelling LONG distances (like ourselves). However, some staff are indifferent and forget the spirit of true hospitality! How come they allowed others to sit by the window and denied us? Is it because they thought we were outsiders ??? Small things make a BIG difference! I will have to warn my friends and family about this!
