On Bolshaya Nikitskaya 31 Apartment-hotel

+ ‏ only good thing about this apartment is the location

− which is excellent. Everything else was disappointing: the curtains are poor, the air conditioning doesn’t work properly, and the apartment looks nothing like the photos.

− I chose this apartment based on the pictures on the website, but the reality was completely disappointing. The apartment was very small, the curtains were worn out and couldn't close properly, which added to the disappointment. The view from the apartment was unacceptable, overlooking garbage bags and boxes, and the smell inside the apartment was very bad. The bedding was dirty, which made the stay even more unpleasant. When I contacted the owner, Victor, his behavior was very unfriendly and his manner was bad. Fortunately, the Zen Hotel team was the ones who helped me and my money was refunded after I couldn't stand staying in the apartment for more than two days, and I left for another hotel. The apartment is located on the fourth floor and there are stairs to reach it, which makes it even more difficult to access.

+ At least the owner was nice and I couldn't pay rent fee before check-in so he helped me to do it well with patient.

− Toilet and shower booth is smaller than I thought but the worst thing is smell of smoking. I don't know where it is from but it was full of smoking smell during 3 days. At kitchen stuffs looked dirty and well not cleaned. Fortunately, sleeping room and bed was clean. and outside of room was doing Internal construction so when I go out, it was so much messy. On the ground, there were wallpaper which came off. and sometimes was hard to avoid those stuffs.

+ I liked the space and room, the view from the apartment was very nice. good walking distance to Arbat street!

− the person who was in touch with me was not very communicative or helpful.

+ Good location. Just 15 min walks to the centre.

− We booked the house for 4 people. But only one bed is ready when we arrive, the sofa bed hadn’t been prepared, and the sofa is not comfortable to sleep. The most terrible thing is, we paid by cash and left the money in the room, the host didn’t give us the change,he promised us to give us the change on the second day, but they didn’t.🙃

+ Near center, the bank to exchange money with good rates is right downstair.

− Electricity is not good. Can not use the electricity socket in kitchen and bathroom, so we could not use the microwave and washing machine

− The ventilator in the bathroom was too loud, and it doesn't have a separate switch, so that you can 'mute' it while using the lighting

+ amazing location The view from the room was spectacular and about a 10 min walk to the Red Square. We asked for change in the linen and they promptly did so. Unfortunately for one day the water was shut off but it was beyond their control as civil works were going on in the neighborhood. They we kind in the interaction and gave us a full refund when we opted to check out early due to the water issue. They stored our baggage for a few days as well. All in all i would highly recommend this place.
