Baltschug Kempinski Moscow Hotel

+ The view is great, truly one of the highlights of the stay. • The staff are generally helpful and kind. • A gentleman at the reception (I unfortunately forgot his name) was especially thoughtful, caring, and genuinely tried to help. He even joked during checkout that he would clean the room himself if I ever returned, which I appreciated.

− Despite these positives, the cleanliness of the room was very disappointing—especially for a 5-star hotel. • When I checked in, the room was clean. However, after eating, I dropped a few crumbs on the floor. Those same crumbs stayed there for three days, which made it clear that the carpet was never vacuumed. • The windows and tables were never wiped during my stay. • The cups were not replaced at all; I had to call and request new ones myself. • When I informed the reception on my third day, they only sent someone to change the cups and bring water—not to clean the room. • Proper cleaning wasn’t done until the next morning, and even then, it was not deep or thorough. • Comparing this experience to my previous stays, I had just stayed in three different 4-star hotels, and all of them had significantly better cleaning standards than this 5-star property.

+ there is a welcome fruit basket. excellent view of St Basil Cathedral and Moskva River especially during sunset. there are some halal selection for breakfast buffet.

− some of furnitures and fittings looks a bit dated. Room price is quite high maybe because of the room size, location and view from the room.

− Nothing about the hotel was good. Right from its location to the size of the rooms. Definitely did not feel like a 5 star hotel and it’s an utter waste of money paying here for the stay. Also I had to check out from the hotel around 3am in the morning and look for another hotel, as the hotel was facing water issue. We were not informed about it proir and We could not use the washroom/shower hence we were forced to leave the place. Overall we had a bad experience at the place. I would never recommend anyone to stay here, there are better hotels at a much better price available.

+ The hotel's location is unbeatable. It's just a short walk from the iconic Red Square, bustling shopping districts, vibrant restaurants, and cozy coffee shops. The friendly and helpful staff made my stay even more enjoyable. I can't wait to return to Moscow and stay here again.

− While my overall experience was positive, I did encounter some discomfort with the bed. I mentioned this to the receptionist during check-out.

+ Booked a luxury deluxe room, they upgraded us to suite 805, this room has to be the best hotel room, or any appartments in Moscow. The room was on the highest level, and overlooked every Moscow attraction, the Kremlin, St Basils, Red Square, cathedral of Christ the saviour, 3 of Stalin sisters, and many more, what a great place to finish our holiday in Russia. Much appreciated

− For the removal of mini Bar they requested a removal charge of 1500 rub, which first time iam hearing this to remove a mini bar i should pay!!!!!

− More flexibility in check in, for foreigners whom just came from out of russia without local currency and need some time to exchange the currency needs some understanding from the hotel stuff. Either they accept USD or give flexibility for one day to change the currency.

− Too expensive and cant be 5 stars , rooms are spacious but quite old and consumed , they gave us room to the side street with no view , No wash lets provided in toilets

− The concierge service was not as I expected at all. We requested a Husky ride adventure and the concierge front desk employee requested to have 6,500 Ruble for each person to go to the park and have this adventure. I ended up paying 13,000 Ruble for me and for my wife (transportation is not included). Unfortunately, it was a joke! The guys at park only requested us to have a 1 around for each one of us (around 2 minutes) and then they only allowed us to do some archery!! They asked us to pay extra if we want to ride the horses or to ride the big motorcycles. What I waste of time and money!! The total stay in this park didn’t exceed 25 minutes as we couldn’t do anything else without paying extra. Please note that the park is around 1 hour away by car and we paid around 4,000 Rubles for the whole trip. What a waste of money and time. Please, if you are interested to enjoy the husky adventure, try to book on your own and AVOID the concierge at the hotel.

− Hotel located at the conner of junction of traffic light. Very difficult for taxi to stop. This due to lobby main entrance renovation

− Rooms are not vacuumed daily. Staff do not speak English which is a problem specially at the restaurant as we got sick twice from food allergy.

+ The place is nice, clean, and close to everything. The length is crazy. It is five minutes away from the red square, by car or scooter. I strongly recommend it. + Beautiful historical building at Moskva river. Cross the Bolsjoj Moskvoretsky Bridge and you will stand on Red Square close to Kremlin and Lenin Mausoleum. Perfect breakfast buffet with excellent service. Spacious rooms most with stunning view on Kremlin. A place to feel the vibrations of Moscow.
